About Us

We feel that the preservation of oral traditions and traditional storytelling is of great importance. These stories are our treasures, and they will become lost if they are not passed on. Our troupe tries to promote and preserve oral traditions and stories, and encourage children to "treasure hunt" for stories within their own families and neighborhoods.

We are fond of fairytales, folklore, and fantasy stories. Our shows reflect this interest, but we also use additional elements from theater, history, post-modernism and our own imaginations.

We intend to grow into an enrichment program for local schools and children's organizations, providing much-needed interactive artistic experiences for local children. We also intend to provide a series of summer programs for children.

We are working on a program to provide professional development for local teachers, to help them find ways to incorporate the arts into their regular classrooms. We hope to work with teachers in the local schools which have had to cut back on their art programs.

We are currently seeking a location in which to build these programs, preferably a former school. Once a location is established, we will be able to provide a wider variety of opportunities for the young people in the area.
